Do i lag because of my CPU heat?

I recently builded my first PC with a GTX 970 and a Intel Core i5-4690K and still i lag during low graphic cames. I came to the solution that it might be my CPU heat. For an example my CPU is 80 C when playing CSGO, is this normal? I use the default intel cooler. Should i add more cooler paste or just go ahead and buy a Corsair h100i?

Hope some of you guys can help me, because with these specs I should be running games like CSGO with a bit more than 40 FPS

get rid of that stock cooler first your temps are kinda high in my opinion.an any aftermarket cooler "for the most part!" is better than stock. depending on budget depends on cooler, most air coolers are cheaper though the h100i is a good cooler i think neweggs gottem for 94$

I only tested my FPS on offline so my ping wouldn't effect it, I have downloaded all the drivers I need. I'm 90% sure it's my CPU heat, so I'm just gonna get a h100i - Thanks for your answar man.
