So after trouble shooting that my PC won't run.
I tried to plug in my old PSU power cable from my old PC into my new one and right now it runs.

Are all power cables the same? Is it going to do damage in the long run or am I safe to keep using my old one.

If the new one is faulty (The one that came with the PSU I brought) is it possible to refund that cable only? Or (If all power cables are the same) should I buy a back up one incase my old one wares outs?

Kettle cable? Whatever you call them.

Yes, all kettle cables are the same (plug into the back of PSUs) and all mickey mouse cables are the same (plug into laptop power adapters). I can't imagine you would need to buy a spare as long as you have on that works. We have SOOOOOO many ac cords sitting at the shop from over the years (probably 200+)

Actually after taking the front of the 'non working plug' I found out that the brown cable wasn't connected, so I now connected the brown cable into the hole and going to try the cable again.
