If you have a little stretch in your budget, here are some part tweaks that are worth the money (better case IMO, professional series PSU has a longer warranty - will benefit from the additional power in case you SLI down the road, i7 will give you more wiggle room in 3-5 years when developers actually start to use more than 4 threads for gaming, low profile memory makes it easier to work with an aftermarket CPU cooler, SSD may not be a game changer for gaming but it is the part you will notice and appreciate the most in terms of performance on a day to day basis):

The first kit will do fine and you could absolutely upgrade/add parts when you have the available funds, just a couple of recommendations. The one part I wouldn't change is the GPU - the 960 is a pretty decent graphics card by the numbers but I think you will find you need more then 2GB of video memory in 3 years.
