Asus M5A97 won't turn on

Solution
Athlon IIX4 640 is compatible.
Im using at work old CPU too on different mobos- becoz no need to update bios for such an old CPU.

Basically the MOBO turns off 3-4 seconds after I turn it on. All coolers start, CPU cooler, PSU cooler and VIDEO CARD cooler, and suddenly I lose power.
These same components are working on other mainboard, which has a CMOS problem, that's why i bought a new M5A97 board.
Both CPU and PSU are working.
I did the basic test with the mainboard outside the case, with only the CPU, VIDEO CARD and 1 MEMORY STICK. Always get the same behavior.
Some people told me that perhaps the board is not compatible with the processor. It is an old AM3 processor, Athlon II X4 640. Even though in the manufacturer website says my processor is supported, the vendor told me "it might not be the case", since my processor is quite OLD.

My case doesn't have a speaker sadly...
I replaced the mobo and the problem continues. I have tested everything but the processor... at this point, the vendor told me that it might be the processor... Perhaps it is not compatible with the mobo, since it is an OLD AM3 Althon X2. Even though in ASUS website it shows as compatible.
