WD Green Makes Weird Noises

Hi guys , yesterday i asked a lot of people in here about my WD Caviar green sound
this is the link :

and then later that night , i heard like a thump noise coming from my case
so i opened the case , and the sound is coming from the HDD , because everytime i play a video , music , or playing games , the thumping sound is there , and everytime i close all of the program , the case would not make any sound

this is the new sounds (it's like a thump thump noise)

sorry the sound is really low , try turning up the volume on PC settings
should i return this or ?

Hard to hear the sounds on the videos you provided.

If this is a new drive, I would exchange it for another one as that much sound is abnormal. You could also look at the SMART data for the drive, there is a tool on the WD site that can help with that.

Yeah its 2 weeks old
can i return it to the retailer ?

is it WD lifeguard ? i already did the quick test and the hdd passed

is this the normal sound of hdd ?

mine sounds like that but quieter , plus a double thump noise

Most retailers will let you exchange a drive that was just purchased.

Mechanical hard drives to make some noises, but the new ones are still pretty quiet. Some of the cases amplify the sounds when the metal of the hard drive comes in contact with the drive cage. You can try some foam padding in there to see if it helps.

It is hard for me to tell you if this is normal as the videos you provided were so quiet.

But the guy didnt gave me the WD box ?
can i return it only the hdd ?

i have enchance the sound on my two last video

So the hdd in the new video is normal ?

if i use this (not returning it)
and it failed, can i still return this to the retailer ?

is there any other way to reduce the noise ? because it make the case having noise too
dont know where to get foam padding in here , and if i do get foam padding
how to install it ?

this is my the tray for my hdd (is screwing the 2 whole on the middle will make any difference?)

so i release the hdd from the tray,
put the felt disks on the side of the hdd, and just plug it to the tray again ?
