I switched out my Nvidia 560 ti with a Sapphire Radeon r9 280x Dual OC edition, and the performance on certain games like World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, and Tera have gotten significantly worse. I used to run WoW at a solid 80fps (in the same towns and areas) and now I run it at 20-50 fps. My specs are:
GPU: r9 280x
CPU: amd fx 6300
PSU: 750W name brand (cant remember which one)
ram: 2x4gbs
I uninstalled all of the nvidia drivers with DDU and reinstalled my amd catalyst drivers. The card is snug and secure after I installed it. Am I bottlenecking with my cpu?
*side note* I can run high performance games like Crysis 2 on max ultra settings with a solid 60 fps.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
