My computer powered off and won't turn back on. Most likely a problem with the motherboard or power supply unit. Please help!

My computer powered off, and won't turn back on.

I was in the middle of champion select on League of Legends, my pc turned off without warning and wouldn't turn back on so I finished the game on my dad's laptop (for the record, my team won).

The USB ports work fine when the power supply cord is plugged in. When unplugged, the USB ports don't work.

Is this a problem with the Motherboard, or the Power Supply Unit?

It does absolutely nothing when I try powering it on, there's no response at all. I'm pretty sure the power button is connected properly. There's no beeping noises so it's probably not the CPU. I couldn't find any LED lights on the Motherboard or PSU so I'm not sure what is broken. Any help?

plug the pc into the wall without wall the switch being on and hit hit the power on button.
turn the wall switch on after about 5 mins and see if the pc boots.
if it does its likely a psu issue with 1 or more caps holding a static charge.

if nothing happens then your down to testing parts in other builds to make sure there working before you try replacing them.

Are you, by chance, using an Asrock Z97 Extreme4? If so, I know exactly what your problem is.
