I want to set up WiFi in my house, covering all three floors (0th, 1st and 2nd). I want a number of appliances to be connected via WiFi, namely laptops, Televisions (1 in each floor), computers (3 in the office room in ground floor, and one each in 1st and 2nd), and mobile phones. I don't know if other appliances allow WiFi connectivity, like refrigerators, Microwaves, Air-conditioners etc etc, and if they do, I want to connect them too. I want full WiFi coverage in my home. I will be installing a private internet gateway for my home. I want to know about the type of routers I have to use, how many should I use, and how to configure and connect them to the appliances.
I want maximum speed at all times (the maximum my ISP will allow).
So what type of router I have to use (single band or dual band or triple band)?
I want suggestions on all these. I'm actually running blind here, and haven't got any satisfactory resources from the internet.
I'm not really on a budget, but don't want to spend unnecessarily on things from which I'll be partly benefited or not benefited at all.
I'm from India, and you are requested to suggest parts which are available in India.

If you want a private network, then you would implement a VLAN on the 24-port switch. For example, you could configure the first ten ports with a VLAN of 10 and attach the private devices to those ports. The rest of the ports would be used by everything else.

It could be done wirelessly; instead of connecting the devices to the ports, you would connect one of the WAPs. Some WAPs will also support dual SSIDs, meaning that you could have the private and public network broadcasting from the same WAP.
Personally, I would have primary devices connected via a cable, with the wireless reserved for secondary devices. Primary devices are ones that would be bandwidth-intensive, such as for HD video streaming or online gaming, with secondary devices being used for basic web browsing.

This next bit depends entirely on the size and layout of your rooms, but I would place two WAPs (wireless access points) in your house; one on the ground floor and one on the second floor. These WAPs, along with the primary devices would then connect to a 24-port switch located near your router.

In terms of bands, 2.4Ghz has better range but 5Ghz has less interference and better throughput. Again, which one you'd use depends on the size and layout of your rooms.

Well the primary devices for HD streaming will be Televisions. We have samsung smart TVs, and they have HDMI ports. But how to connect them over the network.?

Well, that's said, I understand the basic things needed to set up WiFi, and how to connect them. Now, if I want a private network, say, I want to print files from any corner of my house, set up a connection between the computers present in the 1st and 2nd floors, and the ones present in the office; so that I can access files of the office computers from any other computer I want. Can this be done wirelessly?
