Intel performs better in arma. Arma's engine favors single threaded performance, which AMD lacks in.

Aside from Arma, your build does look pretty solid in my opinion. The motherboard will support a nice overclock and in games that utilize the extra cores, you'll notice a decent frame rate. I don't think you'll get a good frame rate without optimizing the settings in Arma though.

I do agree you should go with an intel build, and if you decide to take that suggestion, I suggest getting a pentium and a z97 board and upgrade to an i5 later on.

@Enderstream, I don't think it really matters whether a socket is dead or not. Sure there isn't much of an upgrade path at that point, but there really isn't much of a point in an upgrade path...

Chances are, if you're upgrading, you'll be upgrading the whole system anyways, meaning you'll want a new motherboard in the end.
