Hey guys so I've been trying to drop the idle temperature for my CPU. I have an msi a88x-g45 gaming motherboard with an AMD a-10 7850k processor. With the stock cooler I'm getting 55c idle. So I bought a cool master seidon 120v liquid cooler to drop temps but it seems to idle right around 50-55c as well at 80+ on 100% loads. I have exhaust fans in the back as well as intakes in the front. I've turned the fan speed up to max on all fans as well as redid the thermal paste for both several times. Can someone please help !!!

Solution
Is the water block seated perfectly flat on the cpu heat spreader? I am assuming you put a pea sized amount of thermal interface material on the heat spreader before you seated the water block?

oh I didnt know you were in bios well think of it this way all cpu's are like finger prints none of them are the same even if the name is the same. you might just have gotten a cpu that runs hot... i would try to get in contact with amd and see what they have to say if it is running that hot and the warranty isnt voided i would warranty that thing and get a new one also did you overclock it?

He's talking about in task manager, right click on the Windows toolbar, click task manager and click "Processes". Then you'll see a column where it says "CPU" and the program with the highest number is using more of the CPU.
