Hello, I am looking for a good fan setup for my corsair 760t. Can anyone tell me what fans to get and where and in what position to put them in? I prefer red LED lit fans but if not that's ok. I also prefer it to be silent.

Solution
The quietest fans tend not to be LED lit. I use Noctua NF-A14s, but if you care about looks they're probably not going to be your first choice. There are lots of choices and you should spend some time reading through reviews, but you can get a decent compromise by using 140mm fans (usually more airflow for lower RPMs and less noise than 120mms), getting good quality ones, and running them at lower RPMs.

There are lots of choices but these get good reviews:
Corsair AF140mm Red LED Quiet Edition - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G28N1393

I would recommend starting with two in the front as intakes and one in the rear as exhaust. If you're not happy with your temps, add another in the top/rear fan mount as an...

I would recommend starting with two in the front as intakes and one in the rear as exhaust. If you're not happy with your temps, add another in the top/rear fan mount as an exhaust. You can scale up from there as needed, i.e. 120mm intake in the bottom, but that would be sufficient for most users.

Thanks! How many will I need in total to max out the cooling?
Update: I forgot to mention I am going to be installing a watercooler into the computer as well. (Corsair H80i)

To max it out, with the H80 mounted in the rear as an intake, then you're looking at two 140mm intakes in the front, one 120mm intake in the bottom, and two 140mms or three 120mm exhaust in the top. Instead of a classic front-to-back airflow, you'd be looking at the intakes from front, bottom and rear pushing out the top. It's probably overkill, and may not have the smoothest airflow, but it'll look pretty cool.

mine has :
1 x 140 intake at the bottom
1 x 140 exhaust at the top front
Corsair H110 at the top rear
and the standard 140's which come together with the case.

temps are around : 22 celsius CPU / 20 celsius MB / 32 celsius GPU (AMD Sapphire R290 tri)

under load the CPU gets up to roughly 35 celsius while the MB is around 28 celsius. The GPU reads 45~50 celsius under AMD Gaming evolved max settings.

I got:
1 x AF140 intake at bottom
2 x AF140 intake at front (came with case)
1 x AF140 exhaust at back (changed the original to led fan)
Corsair H110 at top

works fine with 2 x Asus Strix GTX970 DC2OC
