Approximate Purchase Date: I expect to start buying components by no later than March.

Budget Range: $1,600. I can go over, but I don't want to go over too much.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, maybe some web surfing. I'll most likely just use it for gaming, though.

Are you buying a monitor: No, I will be using my TV.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/

Parts Preferences: CPU - Intel/MOBO - Asus or Gigabyte/Memory - G. Skill or Corsair/SSD - Not picky/HDD - Western Digital/Case - Not picky, just want something of good build quality w/ excellent airflow/PSU - Antec, Corsair or SeaSonic/Optical Drive - Not picky, just need something which will adequately perform it's function.

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Yes

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I know that the 4790K is excessive for gaming, but I really want a higher end i7. I shouldn't have to upgrade it for some time, and I can get one locally for under $279. I know that the 980 is overkill for a TV which only goes up to 1080p, but I plan on going to 4K later this year.

My primary concern is cooling. Will the stock cooling with this build be sufficient? I understand that when I add another GPU or decide to OC, I will need to look into more advanced cooling solutions, but will the stock cooling sufficiently cool the build in it's base form?

Well, there you have it, that's how to OC your GPU, I have never done it either, so I asked him to help :)
