i just recently got the MSI Geforce GTX 970 gpu, apparently a great graphics card, and after succsesfully installing it, i attempted to play high quality games but, i get the same fps as i do with my old GPU, (AMD Radeon HD 7870 2gb) my friend has the 970 and now so do I, he seems to be quadrippleing the FPS that i have and can run the game with better graphics , can someone please help :"|
PC Specs:
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 70
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-4130 Quad Core Processor

FX CPUs have a bad architecture for gaming - to make matters worse the x1xx series are worse than the x3xx series. They we're bad even when first lauched compared to old Phenom II x4s at that time. There is no cheap solution as the platform is also dead so by the time AMD does decide to release new CPUs your motherboard won;t support them.

Cheapest thing you can do is get a haswell based i3 with a cheap mobo and be amazed by your high fps...
