So here is the story, about a week ago my psu was damaged and I replaced it with an older psu of mine. Immediately my mobo fried. After that I bought a new psu and pc started fine but both keyboard or mouse was not working. Actually all of my usb port front and back not working and also both front or backpanel audio jack port not working. Now I can work with ps2 but without audio. I checked all of my usb port has voltage and I can charge my mobile with any of them. But the usb connected hardware never detected by windows.

I checked device manager and there were no error or yellow mark sign. I removed both usb and sound driver, restart the pc and windows detect new hardware. I install both drivers and restart but the same result. I checked bios and got usb and sound already turned on. I also turned off legacy usb but no result. I reset cmos by removing battery and jumper settings and the result was same.

Only reinstalling windows only left that I didn't tried so far. But I want to be sure that my usb and sound has gone permanently and there are no chances without replace the mobo. But if there any chances to get those back I will take it. I appreciate some advice from experts here. Thank You

Motherboard model: INTEL DH61WW
CPU: i5 3.10 ghz
OS: Windows 7 home basic 32bit.

well the only way to make a correct judgement here would to ask you to go through with the fresh install of windows and post the results of wether the ports are again functional (which i doubt btw ) .. if they dont work the you should go ahead and get your self and new motherboard since the everything else is doing fine
