Hello guys,
as the thread title says: compressed air (spray) or vacuum cleaning to remove dust from PCs?

Which is the best?
Which one do you use?
Which one is the less dangerous? I read that compressed air (spray) creates condesantion, while vacuum vacuum cleaner releases static current. Both condesantion and static current are dangerous for PC components.

So, which one to pick?

Thanks!

Compressed air is definitely better - especially from a compressor where you can really blast the dust out. I use the vacuum cleaner on occasion too though, but it fails to get dust out from between the fins of a tower CPU cooler. Neither have a chance of damaging your computer imo if you're careful.

have done both, havent used either on pc while it's powered on, with it powered of there is no danger in either, but vacum won't be anywhere near as effective as canned air(compressed air), compressed air every day of the year hands down, it cleans you pc, while vacum will have huge problems with small dust particles(it leaves everything still covered in small layer of dust in hard to reach places especially, while canned air has no issues and truly cleans of the damn dust
