I have 2 different sets of 2x4gb ddr3 1600 sticks (corsair xms3, g.skill ripjaws). I'm building a new I7 4790k, Asus Hero VII, GTX 970 system. Would you guys suggest reusing my old ram (4x4gb) or buying a new set of 2x8gb g.skill Trident X 2400 sticks? I plan on using this PC mostly for gaming. Thanks!

may aswell keep your old stuff, with the price of ram as it is, and you'll get marginally faster speeds with 4 sticks, and I don't see the point of any more than 16gb for gaming
