Hello everyone,

For 8 months, I was not able to play games since my 7 year old GPU overaged and pc started to shut down in all games, it was so annoying really.

My system:
Intel Core 2 duo E8400 3 Ghz,
4 GB Ram,
350 watt PSU,
Asus P5KPL SE motherboard,
1366*768 Asus 17 inch monitor,
Asus EAH HD 4650 1 GB DDR2 GPU.

I have bought a new Asus GTX 760 and Corsair 550 watt PSU today. Will it give me good gaming performance, I would buy a new GTX 750ti, but it was not in the stocks.

Is GTX 760 more powerful than 750ti?
And will GTX 760 bottleneck my pc in old generation games.

Note: I will not play new generation games such as Unity and so on. It is enough for me to even play in medium settings. For instance I want to play Shadow of Mordor in medium settings.

Thank you for your response.
For example can I play Assassin's Creed 1 and 2 on ultra settings with this new system with fluent gameplay? And what about Brotherhood, Revelations and Assassin's Creed 3. I have heard that Black Flag needs a powerful system so I doubt it, maybe I may play Assassin's Creed 4 on medium settings.

As for Tomb Raider 2013, Sniper Elite, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Max Payne 3; May I play them on medium settings or high?

For example can I get the same performance with that of the video given above? He only overclocked CPU, will it be a major difference in terms of performance?

Hey man I personally own a Gtx 760 by asus and I can run everygame atleast 30 fps. Even the most recent games like Far Cry 4 run maxed out like 30-60 frames on 1080p. Although for recent games I would update your CPU to a recent i5 or i7. I have a fx 6300 overclocked to 4.5ghz and if you have a few extra bucks an Amd fx 6300 would be a really good budjet solution for your system. Its really powerfull and costs only 109 $ atm.

I have picked a new ASUS GTX 760 with core 2 duo E8400 and I am having great FPS rates in the games! They became a very powerful duo together! E8400 is still a solid processor and GTX 760, it no doubt works great with E8400. I can play Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell Conviction and Dreamfall Chapters with 60 FPS on ultra!
