Hello there,

Last summer I bought the card descibed on title.
The last two months I experience the following problem.
On every 3D application (games,GPU Stress, 3D rendering, etc), if the resolution is set to high after two minutes of gaming (for example) vertical lines show up an the computer freezes.
Only thing I can do is reset from the button.
As the card is still in warranty I have sent it to the store I bought it.They said that they stressed it, played games and no problem showed up.
I get home, reinstall the card, start up Far Cry 4, BOOM there it is again.
Then try with FurMark Stress Test there it is again.
Note that if I choose one of the lowest resolutions it seems like there is no problem.
Also I have seen that when GPU goes full load temp is about 65C.
I am about to get crazy.

Any ideas/help will be really appreciated.

My PC setup:

Mobo: Asus P6T
CPU: Intel i7 920 @ 2.66GHz
RAM: 2 x Corsair Vengeance 4GB
PSU: Corsair (something) 650W
Corsair H100i for cooling ( dont know if it has any meaning)

Thanks in advance,

Spyros

vertical line, any image inconsistencies are generally thought of as artifacts, and if your card is artifacting you it's damaged and should be replace, not sure if i ever saw a card that showed artifacts one one system and none on the other, anyway best to contact gpu manufacturer directly to get their input, i for one say it's artifacts and you need to replace your gpu while it's still under warranty
If its something else make sure to poet, but s i said artifacts

artifacts, get that gpu replaced, unless you tested it yourself with another pc, don't trust people at your retailer in any case , they are there to make money, not to make sure you get best service and support

I have that in mind.
The blame the rest of my setup to be a problem. I know from some of the experience I have that it REALLY is a gpu problem, but I cannot persuade them.
Problem is that here in Greece there is no Official MSI Service Provider so the store I bought it is the only way to get it replaced is the store I bought it.
Seems dead end.

damn that sucks, well i can recommend trying other drivers though that should not be the cause of your problems, have you tried contacting gpu manufacturer directly, see if that helps otherwise, sorry but i can't give you any more to go on

To everyone facing the same problem.
Solution FOUND. Software oriented.
Windows 8/8.1 + Radeon 7 series = Epic Fail
As the GPU was released on 2012, it is facing problems with the newer OS. On Windows 7 64-bit works like a charm.
