Hello,
A few days ago my built in motherboard sound card died.
So, i bought the PCI sound card (4World CMI8738 -4 channel)
Installed the sound drivers everything seemed fine but after restart there was still no sound.
I'm GUARANTEED that PCI slots are fully working.
So i've tried disabling CPU Spread in bios still no luck.
Then tried loads of drivers from different sites-still no luck.
The device manager shows that its fully working but it isn't.
My Rig (Planning on changing it in month or two so i bought some cheap Sound card.)
(My Built in LAN card also dead for about 4 months now.)

ASUS P5Q SE/R Motherboard.
6GB DDR-2 Ram
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Cpu stock.
TP-Link TF3200 PCI LAN Card.
Radeon R7 250 GPU
Cmedia CMI8738 PCI Sound card.
750W PSU

Would appreciate any help with it couse i'm lost now.

Are you using headphones, speakers or builtin speakers on the monitor?
How are these connected?
If using 3.5mm jacks, are you using the front panel connectors, connectors on the motherboard or connectors on the sound card?
Are you sure the speakers or headphones are working?
