Hello, I am wondering what would be the bottle neck of my rig.
CPU: g3258 unlocked
GPU: gtx 750ti
Ram: 8gb ddr3
Motherboard: Asus 97a
So I can play really well with my system, but I cant set the graphics of most games to ultra yet. And I'm not sure if its because the CPU or the GPU, I was thinking of upgrading them to gtx960 or i5 4690k.
I know my CPU has a lot of potential when you over clock it, but I really don't have the time. I have tried and failed multiple times following lots of guides, but since my bios is so different, I don't know what yo input in the missing fields, or which field is what since they have different names than in the guide. I have tried overclocking it with the asus suite 3, and I do believe I did achieve better performance, but the computer would go to blue screen after a couple hours. And I have to reset everything in the bios.
So I thought to fix the overclocking problem might as well upgread the CPU and forget about overclocking for awhile at least. But I'm not sure if it is the CPU the problem, since a lot of the guides I have read say that the CPU doesn't play a mayor role in games. It is the GPU that does.
I would like to hear your opinions and honest feedback please.
Thank you

Dont upgrade your GPU to a gtx960, it says that the gtx 960 lacks alot of performance (yes its the cheap version) but they say you could buy a 760 and get the same experience.

But a upgrade on the CPU would be great, specially to a i5 4690k, get a 4690 if you not gonna overclock it.
If you want to upgrade your GPU i would go for the 970, probably the best alternative now.
