Hi, this may be a stupid question but can I connect my PC to a router via ethernet while keeping a Wifi connection from the router for other devices to connect to? I don't know where I read that if I have a wired connection to the router, then the router can only be used for wired connections and the Wifi is disabled. If it helps, my router is the Virginmedia superhub 2. I am a bit of a noob when it comes to networking so I'd appreciate all responses.

Thanks

What you were reading was probably the other way round, if you plug a network cable into a laptop for instance then the wireless connections will typically be disabled.
Your router should have no problems with connecting wireless and wired devices at the same time.
