I have the win8controller app. which I have installed in a startup folder for
each of the user accounts on my Windows 8 PC. It works fine, however, there
is a popup displayed whenever it is run - I want to automatically
minimize this popup window that is displayed when it is started so the app is
running in the background , not notifying a user when an iphone or
other controlling device is connected. How can this be done. ? What I
am asking here esssentially is how can we minimize the popup automatically
without hitting the minimize button with a mouse click.

Any help appreciated.

Brian

Please note - these are NOT popup's from a web browser.

*Ignore this as I realized after what you meant. I left it in case it's of use to someone installing an XBOX 360 controller.

Hi,

This is for adding an XBOX 360 controller to Windows 8?

I have a wireless controller and do this like this (only needs to be done once):

1. Attach controller USB wireless receiver

2. Open Device Manager

3. Find the "unknown device" (hopefully only one)

4. Add drivers following instructions then "Choose from a list" and find an XBOX 360 wireless driver and use that.

5. In Device Manager it should then appear under "XBOX 360 peripherals" at the bottom.

To turn ON the wireless controller simply press the middle XBOX button until it starts (will shut off after ten minutes of no use to save battery life).

Actually - when I create a shortcut for the application and select properties, I get a 'Shortcut' tab - I do get a selection to run 'Maximized', Minimized' or
'Normal Window' - but when I double click on the shortcut - the popup
still appears !
