Been looking for this driver for awhile now and I am simply stumped.

I pulled this WLAN card out of an old Dell Inspiron 560 for a new build using a Gigabyte 990fx-ud5 board and 8320 FX processor , but with no luck :/

I have attempted downloading the driver from http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/inspiron-560/drivers
HP 802.11a/b/g Wireless Network Adapter

I get the error code "The installer can not run on this platform, please select package for your operating system" for what I'm assuming the reason to be is that the card is no longer in a Dell Computer.

I tried to extract the drivers from from the setup file using 7-zip but cannot find anything.
A search on Reddit yielded me this similar issue with a resoultion [ http://www.reddit.com/r/computers/comments/h4f4t/need_help_with_an_atheros_1525_wlan_mini_card/ ] , but I cannot seem to replicate what this guy extracted because I cannot find the [ HP 802.11a/b/g Wireless Network Adapter ] driver or any SYS or DRV files for that matter -_-

There are two cabinent files in the extracted files from Dell, but 7-zip cannot extract those for some reason.

I have also attempted to go the distributor of the card [ http://www.qca.qualcomm.com/ ] but could not find any links for a driver from them. There is another site that claims to be an unofficial driver distriputor for Atheros, but all links attempt to make me download unrelated programs.

I could really use some help with this matter, and any help would be greatly appreciated D:

Finally got it to work. Turns out my computer ended up having a list of drivers pre installed for it after all. Thanks for you help though :)
