Gigabyte r9 280x Graphics card Fan not spinning and no display.

I Installed a Gigabyte r9 280x 3gd but the fans aren't spinning and the display is black. I had a Nvidia card previously installed and that card was working fine. I couldn't find any solutions to this problem. How can I test if the card is working? I have a Corsair 600w psu installed. Thanks!

check for cable/power connection again (loose/etc)
check if card properly seated..

make sure that both the 8 pin connectors are plugged in correctly to the 280x.

most r9 280x have two 8 pins to power them. count how many holes are there in the gpu power connectors.

you connect the 6 pin and the 8 pin to the gpu.

btw what is your powersupply? make sure it is strong enough for the 280x.

well it is good enough (would have gotten hx or ax). many here would say the cx series is crap with bad capacitors, but for me it is good enough. have you tried to plug in both the 6 pin and 8 pin? see if it is working now.

well for the no display try to uninstall your previous NVIDIA drivers using DDU (device driver uninstaller) and install fresh and updated AMD drivers for the 280x.

I fixed it but the card is not listed in device manager.

did you do the DDU thingy? (uninstall all previous drivers NVIDIA and AMD using DDU - device driver uninstaller)

then you install the 280x drivers.
