Hi, I just built my first rig, and I was wondering what can I do to oc my cpu?
I'm only aiming at 4.0 -4.3, 4.0 is fine, but can a stock cooler keep 4.0 oc stable ( Temp wise)?
Also is my motherboard going to allow this cpu to oc with no problems? If I need to buy a cpu fan for the 4.0 oc im only looking at 20-30 dollars. Thanks

MOBO: ASRock Fatal1ty 990x Killer
CPU: FX-8320 Black Edition (3.5 gHz)
PSU: Corsair RM 650 Watt.

Solution
If you want a fairly inexpensive cpu fan, look into the cooler master 212 evo or t4. They're fairly decent. As for the stock cooler for 4.0. It should be able to handle an overclock to 4.0Ghz and should be fairly stable.

I actually have a 8320 on a ASUS M5a99fx board, with a 212 evo cooler. It's $30, and I keep it clocked at 4.2 for day to day use. I do have a push-pull setup on the 212 though, and 4 additional case fans.
