Besides the usual, no.
Port forwarding can sometimes help, but if there's anything else between you and the Internet (like a firewall or a DNS put up by your ISP), you're pretty much forced to have it strict unless you also configure such extras (if they can be configured, that is).
Setting your console as a DMZ device will most of the times solve the issue, but will mean completely exposing that device to the Internet, so it isn't really something safe...
