I'm building my first pc and I got everything installed, and when I turn it on to boot up, the mobo beeps twice, and I can't enter bios setup. Then it will restart over and over til I turn it off. I looked up codes and they were pretty vague seeing that gigabyte uses award bios, which has most bios codes on the screen I guess, but the main consensus is that it's a ram error. I've tried plugging in both sticks every which way possible- only plugging in 1 stick in every slot, plugging both sticks in using every possible combination, even though I know that I'm generally supposed to plug them both into the same color slot. I even bought New ram and it's still doing the same thing. I've reseated countless times, I've even reseated the video card a few times to no avail. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the cmos battery thing (forgive my nooby language) and it didn't help. Also, when I completely remove ram I get continuous beeps. I'm hoping it's not the motherboard that's bad, but I have no clue what else it would be, or how to check.
Specs
Gigabyte ga-970a-d3sp mobo
Amd fx 6300 cpu @ 3.5ghz
Ballistix sport 2x4 gb 1600mHz ram
Also corsair vengeance 2x4 gb 1600mhz ram- both said to be compatible with my mobo
Pny GeForce gtx 750
Corsair 500w cx500 builder series
Western digital 1tb hdd
Any info would be appreciated since I've scoured the internet and I don't want to pay for geek squad or someone to do something I could do myself with a little advice. Thanks!

According to the user manual for your system, 2 beeps mean a CMOS setting error. To clear the CMOS values, use a metal object like a screwdriver to touch the two pins for a few seconds. Make sure the power cable is not plugged in. After this you will have to go back into the bios and load the optimized defaults.

If by mixing memory, you mean using both brands at once, I never did do that. what I meant is that I tried both Ballistix(then 1 at a time, then every slot combo possible using only Ballistix still), and it didn't work. So I tried the same with corsair and that didn't work either. If that's what you meant, then I will keep that in mind

I've been changing ram, resetting cmos and turning the pc off and on for a few hours now... Sometimes when I turn it on, it'll do the 2 beeps, and then it will beep once after about 20-30 seconds, and the gigabyte screen shows up, but it won't allow me to press anything to enter bios. Then it restarts and does the same thing til I turn it off. Other times, like right now, I turn it on and it does the two beeps, 30 seconds, one beep, (I even got just the one beep once), then no picture at all and it stays on. I have no clue what's going on with this thing. Any other ideas?

With all of the troubleshooting you've tried, its sounds like you may have a bad motherboard. Happens from time to time when you purchase this stuff. Can you contact the seller to see if they will replace it for you? Does it have a warranty?

I have an unusual variation on this. I am getting two short beeps on startup which are not coming from the internal speaker. I am sure of this because I have only recently installed an internal speaker and I have been getting the two beeps since the computer was new early this year.

I have now installed an internal speaker and am still getting the two beeps plus a third, of a slightly different tone, which must be the only one coming from the speaker. I understand that this is the BIOS's "all clear" code.

Has anyone any idea what my two mysterious beeps are?
