NH D15 on ASUS Rampage V Extreme - a Graphics card question.

Hey,

I am going to fit the NH D15 on my ASUS Rampage V Extreme motherboard - whilst i understand it will fit, i know it will block the first pci slot. my question is; will it matter if i fit my graphics card to a different slot e.g the 3rd one? I am not planning on running sli at the moment and the graphics card is a evga nvidia 980gtx.

Sounds like a awesome computer. You'll want to plug it into a PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot, from what I understand the Rampage V has 4 of them which makes it easy for you, there should be 4 identical ones (perhaps all red) and you'll be fine putting it in either one of those to give you more room for the cooler. hey mate thanks for the speedy response, and yes i hope it will be. Its my first build so i'm a bit apprehensive about putting it together so im sure ill be asking a few more questions in the days to come haha.

No worries man, ask away. Quite the computer for your first build, there is heaps of videos on YouTube that guide you through the whole process as well, might want to check some of those out.
