Hi all, I'm building my first pc, I have a asus maximus v11 ranger motherboard and a Intel core 5i processor, I was looking at fitting corsair vengeance pro 2400mhz or 1600mhz red 2x8GB.. Will these be ok to use with my mother board.. Many thanks in advance

We need the exact models of the parts (full name) in order to tell you if the parts are compatible or not.

Yes it will work, that mobo can take up to 32Gb of DDR3 RAM. So it won't matter if you take the 2400 or 1600mhz.

Are you sure it will work? Even if it`s a Ivy or Sandy Bridge generation i5?
I know it`s a long-shot, but without the exact name of the CPU/MOBO, we shouldn`t tell the members here that something will definitely work.

Most Ivy/Sandy Bridge i5's are compatible with 16Gb RAM.
