Well yea they are brand new and pre-builts ( markup of like $100-$150) The value of the parts used in those computers is probably around $400 new. You can't charge a pre-built cost nor do you have new parts, and most likely no warranty (reducing the price 25% or more)...

really i taught it would have been somewhere around 400-500 since it has a decent enough gpu, certified psu and a full 1080p monitor .. are you sure thats all it could go for ?

Oh didn't see the monitor in there... I'd still price it at a max of $350 maybe $400. That is only a 21 inch monitor used its worth maybe $50.

ok .. thats kind of a bummer that it could hold up since i see absolutely worst pc posing as gaming rigs selling for like $600 and so forth with extremely low end card like a damn gt 610 .. the only good side to those rigs is that they always have 8gb's of ram .. take a look at this and u see what i mean http://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-xtreme-desktop-intel-pentium-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-black-red/6750101.p?id=1219238021196&skuId=6750101

Leaving you with a used system + monitor that will most likely sell for $300, if you get lucky maybe $400.

i think you should take this kind of crap onto another post .. this is unreasonable and senseless as the others have given me a much better and logical estimate of the resale value already ..

the desktop has fairly good gpu and 2 sepearte hdd;s and 21 inch monitor and a ivy bridge pentium with a certified evga psu and 3gb of ram dont you think all that is worth $400 ? seeing that there are build far far weaker being sold for lots more than that dont you think this is worth it ? be honest with your self .. not to mention the monitor is full 1080p and the rig play just about any game but not all on high settings most on medium .. apply some logic to the situation and re analize the question and make a worth reading answer .. no disrespect i just think your answer was wee bit to harsh ..

Watch the fighting guys or this thread will be closed and bans may possibly be issued.

How much you get for your build entirely depends on depreciation. A certain percentage of the build will be taken off the original purchase price for every month that you owned it.

Yeah it kind of works like this:

[(original purchase price - salvage value) / years owned] = depreciation value

That's the amount you subtract from the total purchase price for each year that you own the item. Then in the year you go to sell:

[depreciation value * (mo/yr of sale)] = final year amount

Then the total you would get would be depreciation - final year amount.
