that doesn't work with pure NTFS filesystems, only Windows extended ones.

What's throwing me is the box on the left side that says 'Available' is empty.

yah i always look at that twice :)

if you had multiple empty spaces on the drive this side would allow you to pick which one. but since there is only one available free space to work with it auto picks it and puts it onto the other side as selected.

trust me it all looks as it should and is only waiting for you to click next :D

If I may say something... looking at that photo... your drive seems to be kind of disorganized. You have 4 different partition and a huge block of free space on one of your hard drives.

When I first began tinkering with Windows and drives... I probably did the same thing... created multiple partitions (because I only had a single drive).. and I learned over time that it caused more headaches than it's worth.

If I were you... I would completely redo the entire system. move all your data onto your second hard drive... then delete all your partitions and just have a single one.. OR... you could just simply have two partitions on that drive. Make the first partition about 1/3 the size of the drive... and on the second partition you can install all your games and most of your programs.... then by doing that... your C drive will be kept fairly small and allow image backups to take only a few min. to complete... and a smaller drive makes it more efficient and run faster...

Just my observation...

Thank you!

I am sorry I didn't get back to you before. The solution I ended up with was simply to buy a new hard drive, transfer everything to it and blank the old one. Mindless and efficient.
