I'm looking to sell my alienware 17 with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) and Nvidia GeForce GTX 770m with 3 GB ddr5. system has 16 GB RAM and originally cost me $2100. also including the 10% ebay cut would it be worth it to build a PC with this money? as in could I make a PC better than the alienware with the money I get from it including peripherals and monitor? Does anyone know of any free ebay like sites for selling computers on?

$2000 is very overpriced for that system, even getting 3/4 of your money you can build a better PC, are you talking about desktops? You could easily build a nice gaming rig for $1500 that can play pretty much everything maxed out, heck even $1,000 can do that if you custom-build it correctly. Monitor and peripherals are a bit extra, but not too much (Of course depends on what you get), so factor that in as well. I'm also not sure where to sell your computer.

yes im defiantly going to build a new PC but what im wondering is how much should I sell the alienware for because I cant find any of the model I own for sale. Also whats the usual loss of value on a 1 year old computer? it cost 2100 originally and there's 10% ebay fee so I would want to know if I could get as good a system as I have now using the money from selling my current alienware PC and still have money left over

how much would it cost building a computer thats just as good with the same power as the alienware?

The value drop of a 1 year old laptop is honestly like 40%. You are looking at $1100 max for that laptop.

Less than $1000.

Don't try and sell computers... Its not worth it; your better of recycling the parts or letting someone else use it. If you do try and sell it the best way is to sell the parts individually and its going to be pretty much half off what they are going for now.

This is a laptop, not a computer he can part out....

Wow, don't know how I missed that... Realistically he could still part it out if its built like a Sager, but I doubt Alienware has that modularity.
