Would it be worth it to upgrade my RAM (16GB DDR3 1866)?

Before I start, here are my computer specs..

Intel Core i7-4790K Quad-Core @ 4.0GHz
MSI Z97-Gaming 9 AC Motherboard
MSI GTX 970 4GB
Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD
Samsung 840 Pro 156GB SSD
Western Digital 1TB HDD
Creative Sound Blaster ZxR Sound Card
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000)
Standard Air Cooling

I have had the same RAM now for about 2 years and was wondering if you guys think an upgrade would be worth the money within my rig. I'm going for an all red and black theme with my desktop and wanted RAM to match that AND give me an increase in power. But according to my Motherboard's RAM compatibility page, I don't know how much of an increase I can actually install (I'm not as tech savy as I would like so maybe I'm missing something).

Here's my motherboards compatibility page:

My current RAM:

Suggestions for new RAM would be much appreciated. Or if you think an upgrade would be useless for that matter. My budget would be around $200-$350 and around 16GB. I think anymore than that would be pointless.

Hmm really, sounds like you have it all figured out and may be right, on the other hand I have two work rigs both of which are Hero's, OCed and running 32GB in each - and I don't game at all - and they both are a red and black theme. Also I can tell the difference from running 1866 and 2400/2666 and up with what I do. And yes, there is a real world difference. To clarify it was said "I think" anymore than that would be pointless, indicating they aren't sure, and earlier mentioned not sure how much DRAM the mobo can take (which is 32GB). Am simply saying, don't assume and make all encompassing statements

I would have to say if all you are doing is gaming then anything past 8Gb of ram is useless and if you already have 16Gb ram in it even at 1866 there is absolutely no reason to change the ram other than looks and if you want to spend a ton of money just for colors thats your choice but my opinion is its useless

If simply for color, agree.....but a wholesale statement that it's worthless is counter productive without knowing what the rig is being used for, which s why I asked. Higher freq DRAM and larger amounts can definitely improve productivity depending on what one is doing (and especially if it's work related where time is money)

I'm sorry, the non gaming mod knows everything here. My opinion isn't needed. so I removed them.

Listen to the mod. He knows everything. Just ask him.
