Will I see a difference in this upgrade in terms of gaming performance?

Hi all,

This is my current rig:

Mobo: H61MU-E35 (B3)
CPU: i5-2400
Cooler: Cooler Master X Dream i117
RAM: 2x Nanya PC3-12800 DDR3 4GB 1600Mhz (down to 1333Mhz since i5 2400 only supports up to 1333Mhz)
GPU: Zotac Gtx 970
PSU: Aerocool Strike X 600W
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache (I have four of these and a WD5000AAKS)

I was thinking of replacing the CPU with an i5 4570 and the motherboard with a MSI H87M-E35 or replacing my 1366x768 monitor with an 1080p one.

Will I see an improvement gaming wise if I upgraded the CPU and motherboard? Is it worth it? Should I get the CPU/motherboard or the monitor?

Thanks all

they are both on the 1st tier of toms hierarchy.

you'll see a 10% additional boost form the new processor and less power consumption

gaming wise - depending on the maximum frames your monitor can produce - i would not upgrade if i am still getting 60+ FPS in gaming. especially you have a monster gtx 970 for your gpu. (just save your money and buy an i5-4690k and z97 motherboard or wait for new release of 5th gen core i5)
