Hey! I recently bought and built a new computer, with a GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SOC (if that helps) motherboard. About a week ago i came across a blue screen error, stating it is in the process of a pysical memory dump. Literally, 5 minutes ago, i came across it again and im worried my pc is being damaged as i heard physical memory dumps are damaging. I'm not that advanced with computers, so i have no idea what i have to do. The debug led on my motherboard is normally AO? or RO? something like that, but when i encounter the blue screen it turns into O3 or 03. Any help would be appreciated, I'll post whatever info you need, just ask me. Thanks again!

Memory dumps aren't physically damaging, but it is an indication of software corruption.

You need to run MEMTEST prior to anything else for a full pass: www.memtest.org

For a quick test run the Windows memory diagnostic for at least five minutes or until an error (installed in Windows; Google for how if needed). I trust Memtest results but an error in either means bad DDR3 memory, a bad motherboard, or a timing issue.

I'd run MEMTEST first, but I'd also do the following after if you have not done so:

1) update BIOS if newer exists
2) set defaults for CPU then enable "XMP" and save. CPU and DDR3 memory should be using only default settings now in most cases.
3) retest in Memtest

Other:
1. Another hardware could be the Windows drive. You can run drive diagnostics from the manufacturer software.

2. Data corruption may or may not need you to reinstall Windows. If you fix the hardware issue (if it exists) and your problems persist you likely need to reinstall Windows.

3. CPU diagnostic: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19792

Right, well i'm actually away from my computer right now (up north), but ill definitely try those methods when i get back. I'll let you know if everything went well, thanks.
EDIT: I also should mention that the blue screens happen whenever i close an application.
