The other day when i was changing out power supplys, my computer would not turn on at first. However, I accidentally bumped the 24 pin power connector and the pc powered on for a sec then back off.
I know have the computer up and running (diff psu), and my gaming performance seems the same as before, but is there any way to see if this sudden powering on/off from touching a wire damaged my mobo? Like i said, my gaming performance seems the same but just want to be sure. Thanks

If everything is running fine you shouldn't really worry about it. The best way of knowing if the mobo is ok is if everything is running fine, you do have programs you can use to test other components to ensure they are running alright with your mobo like cpu-z and gpu-z etc but I don't think it's necessary.

If you do experience any issues just message again, hope that helps, if it solved your issue don't forget to pick a solution.

PS: Be more careful next time :)

But you may have caused the sudden power up by discharging static electricity and causing an ESD event. Touching the power connector should not start the PC unless the power control pin on the got shorted to chassis somehow when you touched it.

If it was a ESD event, it may have survived, but it could be a walking wounded situation and will fail in the coming weeks/months. That is why ESD is such a pain. It is not always evident and not always an instant hard failure.
