Do I have to backup if I have a 2nd drive which has all my files and my boot drive has just windows and stuff

I'm replacing my motherboard from Intel To AMD every where I look it says backup but my second drive has all my files like steam and stuff if I buy a new windows and just fresh install on my boot drive would I not have everything?

No need to backup.All files would be there in the drive.
