Hi guys. I live in Australia. I want to build a gaming desktop to play offline and some online games. My budget is about $1000-1200 AUD. I will use my tv as the monitor and I also already bought the keyboard and mouse. Thanks guys.

If you want to upgrade, the PSU should still be enough (there`s no way to predict the power consumption of future GPUs, but the trend is to lower it). Now, if you want to ADD another card, you shoulf get a 750-850W PSU.
Also, the AMD cards usually require more power than the Nvidia ones, so it`s up to you what you decide to do in the future.

The SSD is not something you should worry about when thinking about the PSU. The main consumers are the CPU and GPU.

You didn`t mention if you also need an OS, so I left it out for now.
It would be nice to add an SSD and CPU cooler to this build, but I wanted to give you the strongest CPU and GPU for your money.

I plan to use Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit. Do you think that I should buy a SSD later to concentrate more money on the cpu and gpu?

The SSD is nice to have, but not a must. And I surely don`t recommend cutting into the CPU or GPU power in order to get it. It can be added later on with minimum of effort.

And a build with the OS, but with a higher price in order to maintain a GTX 970 in there. We can get it down to 1200$, but we`ll need to go with a lower end GPU:

you pay a little more for pccasegear but they have very reliable shipping and if you order express you might get it in the next day depending on where you live and have very good customer support cpl has cheaper prices but im not sure about their shipping and customer support.
I have ordered numerous things from pccasegear and I am very satisfied

also everyone who has items from different places your going to have to pay $100+ dollars for shipping you want to focus on one place only and try to use that site not pcpartpicker as it doesn't have all the available parts

I'm going to give you advice you're prolly not gona wana hear. Save some more money and invest ~1600. It is worth waiting for. With 1200 AUD you'll be cutting a few corners to get a decent GPU. Save that little bit more and get an SSD with decent capacity, 16gb ram and a case you actually like looking at. Thats just my opinion.
