First PC Build - Hearing clicking noise when powering on, CD Drive or HDD

Hello everyone, first time pc builder here. Just finished trying to put everything together last night. I was able to get the power on and get to a boot screen, but I keep hearing like a clicking noise around the cd drive/hdd.

Any ideas on what this could be or how it could be fixed?

If you have no disc in the optical drive, then the most likely cause of the clicking is a faulty HDD. Is it a new drive ?

Ensure that no wires are touching any fans.

Thats probably HDD. Replace it if it is under warranty and if not get ready to purchase a new drive and get all backup. ASAP

Thank you guys, disconnected HDD. Clicking sound no more. I guess I'll see what I can do about replacing it.

I had that happen to me before. Drive was a few months old and just clicked and died on me.
