D6 error code

Pc is not booting with the new graphic card installed, but with the old one its working fine (HD 6450).

Mobo is giving me the d6 error code.

Specs:

Win8.1 x64
AMD FX-6350 3,9Ghz
16GB Ram
Asrock 970 Extreme4 -> Bought it 27-01-2015
Old GPU: Asus HD6450 1GB
New GPU: MSI R9 270x Gaming 2GB ITX -> Bought it 28-01-2015
PSU: Modstreamer pro 600watt

Have you tried updating the BIOS (if newer version available)?

Try the second PCIe slot too, see if still the same.

*btw its a 8 pin connector.

Then yes, try RMA-ing the card or test it in different PC.

So here's the solution,

Asrock 970 Extreme4 DOES NOT SUPPORT MSI R9 270X Gaming 2GB ITX!!!

I returned the card and was allowed to choose another one which i did, GTX 760.
Plugged the card in and everything is working.

ITX refers to the size (shorter), as for MSI... it shouldn't matter. Why it didn't work... hard to say.
