Just as the title says will Acronis driver wipe (Nothing is saved) get rid of a Virus I have on my PC which I had no clue how I got it called SurfVox. I want nothing on my PC due to using steam and needing to put in details and credentials for it. So I was just wondering if I did do a full hard drive wipe on my two drives and my partitions get rid of this nasty little piece of Malware? I know wiping it is a big extreme but I need to re-install something anyway.

The Acronis Driver Wipe is Set to Standard DoD. Which I belive is three wipes. (Is that enough)

Thank you.

Using the Secure Erase tool will completely wipe any an all data from your SSD. Standard DoD will do it well for conventional HDDs, but takes literally hours to complete and even longer (days) for larger TB storage capacity HDDs.

Yea, I used it to erase my 2TB Hard Drive and it said it would only take around One Hour to complete. on Standard DoD

Infact the thing I used to clean my drive on Acronis was called Drive Cleanser I belive.

There are bettter options for file destruction:
Acronis File Shredder
Acronis Drive Cleanser

To rip everything use the Peter Gutmann algortihm, the best but the slowest
