Hi, I was worry about my next config... Not the whole one, just the memory: I WANT TO BUY ONLY THE SSD, NOT THE HDD.
This important sentence is the point of my thread:

Now I'll report here all my questions that I hope you'll answers:

1) Is it possible to have only the SSD installed without the HDD ?
2) If yes, then i'm going to buy "Samsung 840/850(which of the two?) EVO 500GB";
3) Does Paging limit me or I can let it on (8 GB ram) ? What other options should I change overall in the BIOS and then in Windows ?
4) Can I Install every kind of Game/App/File in the SSD ?
5) Ok, this one would clear me more: how does Performance/Writing work ? I mean, If I arrive at 250GB (half of 500GB) I'll lose some performance... And does this work even with 500GB space... ?
6) Why did every config I see had an HDD+SSD even if the config could cost 2000€ ?
7) Can you say to me all you know about SSD-only, please ?

Also, could you tell me what english errors I didi, because I'm not english even if I would be...

Thanks very much in advance :)

Solution
personally, yes, but rather than 128GB get a 250 GB, if you put any games on the SSD it will fill up, if you cannot get the extra 40-50 dollars then stick with the 128GB ssd and the 1TB,
2) yes the 290x is reasonably close in price to the 290 and will perform better in most cases

1) yes
2) either, they are both top of the line, you will pay more for 850 bc it is the recent gen of it, new controller, faster speeds
3) let it on 8GB ram? i am not sure what you mean by this
4) works just like a regular drive although some claim to have a daily write max or something like that like 50GB, i didnt really pay attention to that and i have had no problems
5) performace is the speed at which it can read or write data to the drives, the 550/540 you may see are sequential read writes, you will only get this with sequential files of large size, most computer techs will say try not to use more than 880-90% capacity otherwise you might overwrite something and get corrupted sectors.
6) SSD are still not affordable for most users yet for mass storage so most people use an SSD for the boot drive(operating system) super fast boots. essential programs, and some frequently used games, the HDD basically works like a GIANT USB drive that you save everything else to and access it on the mass storage HDD drive. most ssds are several times the price/GB compared to HDD which is why you see the dual or more drive setups
7) what more do you need to know?

Solution
1. Yes, absolutely.
2. 850 is newer and better, but he 840 is probably cheaper. Depending on your budget and costs, the 850 is probably worth it.
3. Paging will wear the drive more but doesn't matter much. I believe Samsung magician (drive software) will do a good job of tuning your system.
4. Yes.
5. Performance varies from drive to drive. New drives should have enough extra space reserved (called over-provisioning) that you cannot totally destroy performance. Even if you fill the drive you will get much better performance than with a hdd.
6. Disk speed doesn't matter much for media (pictures, videos, music). Most people save money by buying a hdd large enough for media and an SSD for programs and os. They do this because cost per GB of SSD is much higher than hdd.
7. It would be pretty difficult to tell you everything I know. I don't think I've told you anything that I don't know.

I'm not English either- I'm American, but I do speak English.
