Hi. I have an old Toshiba SatPro S500 (PSSE0A-0HN00R). I'm looking to increase the memory on it, but I'm having difficulty finding details on what speed memory my machine can handle. It currently has 2x 2Gb DDR3 1066MHz SODIMM RAM. I know the machine can go to 8Gb max, and that it can't use 1600MHz. While I can buy 4Gb 1066MHz, it isn't cheap. I was wondering if there is anyway that I can find out if my machine can use 1333MHz, without actually swopping in a stick and seeing what happens.

Crucial says otherwise, but I can't find that exact model either. And Toshiba is less then useful with their poor layout and often blank pages in their support system.

I would think you can pop in any SO-DIMM DDR3 at 1.35volts and at least get it to turn on. Should default to whatever speed it can run at.
