I have a rig that I want to sell that I built in June of 2014, so its only about 8 months old. I spent $800 on it and I was wondering how much I'd be able to sell it for and what the best method to do so is. I'm planning on using the proceeds to fund my new i7 4790k build

Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3470 3.2ghz
MOBO: Asrock z77 extreme4 ATX LGA 1155
RAM: G.Skill Sniper Series 8gb(2x4gb) DDR3 2133
Sandisk SSD 128gb
Toshiba HDD 1TB 7200RPM
GPU: Asus Radeon HD 7770 2gb
Case: Rosewill R5 ATX Mid Tower
PSU: Rosewill 550w bronze certified

Solution
I suggest keeping the SSD (Depending if you want something which could be faster after half a years worth of tech updates, but I suggest keeping it), keeping the RAM as unless you're going to DDR4, which isn't even fully optimized yet and defo not for gamers, you'll be staying with DDR3 anyway, and if you're in need of the storage, keep it for extra? Whats worth more to you, $30 or 1TB of 7200RPM storage? Defrag that sucker and keep her running! Then I suggest selling all the other parts individually doing some research on eBay perhaps on what they've previously been sold for, and do people pay for for a case with a psu? So sell the CPU as used but fully functional, same with the mobo, GPU now are you going AMD? Crossfire? Or do some...

Or do some research into 2nd hand prices and sell it, sell the case with the psu if there is more value in it, if not sell them separate! That's how I would go about it to save when it comes to my new build.
