Should I worry about my AL-D500EXP 500W PSU?

Solution

It should be fine as long as you aren't overclocking, but you will probably put a lot of stress on the PSU and it won't last as long, I recommed upgrading your PSU, but yes it should be fine. I ran my R9 270X on a 500W cheap PSU with an Amd Phenom and it worked fine but it would crash every so often. It depends on the quality of the PSU as well. You could always underclock your stuff as well but you would lose performance.

I'm not really going to overclock, I just want to make sure the PSU doesn't explode.

Hi

That PSU looks a little trashy, I'd recommend upgrading to something a little more well known (Corsair CX500 is pretty cheap and is the same wattage).

Cheap power supplies like to die prematurely, a close friend of mine had smoke coming out of his case when his went.
