Preffered ping for online gaming

I have seen a lot of people playing online games(like gta online) with slow connections like that of 512kbps.
So I was wanted to know the prefered ping to play online games.I currently use 8mbps bandwidth with 23ms ping.
So whats the best ping.I know anything below 100 or 50 is good but I wanted to know which is most optimal.

Usually if you start getting into the 150s-250s you will get minor stuttering and maybe some rubberbanding, anything above that it is severe and will make gameplay nearly impossible. I'd say below 100 is fine, even 150 is still alright but it may effect gameplay slightly. 8mbp/s should do fine with games as long as there isn't too much using it.
