I had MS7 and I installed MS8.1 but now my SG FA desk is NOT allowing me to connect and access my data. I have reset it, tried accessing via Http address and contacted Seagate support. I have disconnected it from the mains, pressed the pin hole reset and although it is detected on my LAN it refuses connection. Any suggestions???

I just read on another forum that the Seagate FreeAgent software is not compatible with Windows 8 and Seagate have no plans to release a Windows 8 version. You can still use the FreeAgent drive without the software by using the traditional "copy & paste" method to transfer data to it or from it, and view the data on it through Windows in the normal way.
