Hi! Next month I am going to get a Sapphire Dual-X 270 video card. My PC specs: Intel G860, 4 GB, 500W FSP Hexa 80+. I am going to play any modern game (including multiplayer). I don't care about all the eyecandy turned on, but smooth gameplay is important. So is my cpu bottleneck 270 card? My budget is around 150€ which could get me Haswell i3 and motherboard. For the same price or less I could get Sandy i5 2400 + mobo. Sandy i5 outperforms new i3, but 1155 is getting old(?). New i3 is still a 2-core cpu. I could also go with Ivy i3 route (cheaper), but I'd like to buy ssd this year and my current motherboard only has sata ii. Or should I wait and go Haswell i5 instead? One thing is certain. If I buy something, I don't plan to upgrade any time soon (2+ years).

old doesn't mean bad, the sandy i5s are still rock solid performers
