Hi all, my computer I currently have has Windows 7 installed but it is built into the hard drive as I bought it from a shop. I upgraded my system a few months back and kept the same hard drive with the Windows on. I now want to format my hard drive is there anywhere I could use the Product Key which is on the box of my PC again? Could I put that Windows copy onto a USB and type that code in again?

Hello... http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows7/a/install-windows-7-usb.htm
*important options and variables.
1) format the USB stick to FAT32 and make bootable.
2) click the Box in the ISO to USB/DVD APP, to make the USB stick "Bootable"
3) some ISO's WILL work without the ISO to USB/DVD APP, and can be created within the Windows. Right click the ISO file and see if the ISO file was made with this option enabled.
4) some ISO's will NOT work with the ISO to USB/DVD APP, create within the Windows. right click the ISO file for the option.
5) if you want the SP1 version download here, http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/ , and you will have less Updates to complete and can save you alot of time.
Technically an OEM installation of Windows is tied to the computer hardware it came on, but in practice, MS will almost always actiave the system even with a major change like a motherboard swap.

So yes, you should have no issues using that code again if you need to re-install Windows on the same computer.

Thank you, I have changed the Motherboard over from a Lenovo one to a ASUS as well as the RAM and GPU. The next question is please what do I put onto the USB I believe it is something to do with ISO files but not sure?
