Hey Toms Hardware Users,

I need help deciding where to put my Static Pressure and Airflow optimised fans in my case.
To clarify, I have a Corsair 300R Windowed case and It has 2 front intake fans, 2 top exhaust fans and one back exhaust fan as well as 2 additional side panel fans which I will not be using for now.

First off, I am aware that the front panel is for intake, The top is for exhaust and so is the back but the problem is im not sure where I put my Corsair static pressure optimised fans or my Corsair airflow optimised fans. I am sure that the bottom intake fan on the front panel should be static pressure optimised since my HDD cage is right in front of that fan and so a static pressure fan would be better suited. The fan slot above on the other hand, has nothing blocking it so should I use an airflow fan for that?

Now what about the exhaust fan slots on the top panel? should I put 2 airflow optimised fans or or 2 static pressure optimised fans up there?

Now finally im pretty sure that the back exhaust fan is suppost to have an airflow optimised fan but please correct me if im wrong.

FYI: Im aware that cpu cooler fans should be static pressure optimised.

Thanks for reading XD any help would be appreciated :)

I would personally put the radiator up top, using it as both an exhaust fan and to cool the grill. Touching the top of the case should be the SP fans, then bolt the radiator under it, so you don't see the fans while your looking in the case. The reason you do this is so that it's easier when you need to clean it.

Also, avoid using SP (Static pressure) fans anywhere except heat sinks and radiators. I'd use airflow fans everywhere else, unless you don't have enough of them. Good luck!

Use SP fans for anywhere that has clearance issues, such as at the front where there are HDD racks, other than that, use AF Fans, get the Quiet edition ones, these are excellent and very quiet.
